WHO develops guidance for health protection in the built environment

There was an international workshop on housing, health and climate change contributing to the preparatory work of the WHO (World Health Organization) for the Cancun Global Climate Change negotiations (COP 16, December 2010).
WHO convened a workshop on housing, health and climate change, bringing together experts and actors in health, building and housing at national and international levels.
The meeting was aimed at considering and making recommendations about the need and opportunity for a wider set of science-based guidance for healthy housing and buildings to be led by WHO.
